We are so happy that through the miracle of IVF we have a happy & healthy 3 year old daughter. Thanks to all at the Fertility Center! We're also thankful for your working with us for a second IVF last spring/summer though in the end, miraculously we didn't need it!

What a blessing and answer to prayer that on our first IVF cycle we became pregnant. Everything went so smooth and Dr Dodds, Dr Young and staff are great to work with. We had our first ultrasound 2 weeks ago and were able to see the heart beat of our little miracle. We are so thankfull to Dr Dodds and the work they do, the IVF coordinator's are awesome and so helpful. Thanks again for making our dream a reality!

My husband and I are currently waiting to start IVF, with donated egg. When we first started this process, we knew little or nothing about the endless variables available to couples at this clinic. Because of my advanced age, I chose an egg donor to increase the odds of pregnancy and to reduce the chance of Down Syndrome. There are many advantages ( I feel) to my choice... I feel I have a better chance to achieve my goal thru donor egg, and I am excited when I read the wonderful young women donor profiles. They had a higher GPA than I did! So far, Ive seen two profiles, and will be presented soon with one to choose from. The Dr.s and staff have been welcoming and warm, especially the donor coord. Christine. If you are considering this clinic, please take it from a current customer. We have been happy so far- and I believe we will be walking out with a baby in hand...well...uterus!

I have to disagree with the statement about Metformin not having any benefit with PCOS. I personally have PCOS, having been diagnosed in January 2007 by another RE. He put me on Metformin (1500 mg XR) and recommended diet and exercise to lose some weight. After 11 months, I had lost about 40 lbs and got my positive pregnancy test. During that 11 months that I was on Metformin, I never once took Clomid or any other fertility medications to assist in ovulation. I absolutely credit my getting pregnant to the Metformin.

As all of us familiar with PCOS know, carrying additional abdominal weight is a big factor in PCOS. Metformin is known for helping those with insulin resistance and, I believe, those with insulin resistance tend to carry more abdominal weight. So to me, it makes perfect sense to put a woman on Metformin who has PCOS.

By the way...in the months that I took Metformin I was able to have a somewhat regular cycle of 35 days and I was definitely ovulating. Prior to taking Metformin, I never got a regular cycle and did not ovulate.

It worked for me and it can work for you!

Well, I guess I'm the first one to comment here - hope other families will find this helpful!

Our little baby Sally just turned one month old, but it's been a long road to get here. We started working with the Fertility Center over three years ago, after having gone through a miscarriage, a neo-natal death, several D & Cs and a molar pregnancy that required chemotherapy and a year of waiting before we could start trying to get pregnant again. Once we started working with Dr. Dodds and the rest of the staff, we had two more miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy and another D & C before "lucky number 7" - the pregnancy that stuck! One thing I really liked about the staff at the center is that they never made us feel like we were being unreasonable or unrealistic to keep trying to have kids, so if anybody reading this feels like they want to keep working towards a family, I'd encourage them to listen to that feeling - sometimes a happy ending does come after a string of disappointments.

Sally was a donated embryo, and we couldn't be happier that we went with that option after trying IUIs, IVFs, etc. of our own. Christine (the donor coordinator) really helped us as we navigated all of the donor possibilities and was very supportive as we waited on the list for our turn. If anyone reading this is a considering donating embryos - I know it can't be an easy decision, but you should know how very, very grateful we are to the family that gave us Sally. If you are considering receiving a donated embryo, I can tell you we were proud to be able to give our baby the opportunity to be born. I think the Fertililty Center is very nurturing in this process, and I hope more couples will consider it - we certainly feel blessed to be able to build our family in this manner.
